Preschool classes (ages 3-5), 9:30am
LiveIt! Sunday School (K-5th grade), 9:30am
Noah’s Ark adult class, 9:40am

KidStuf, 10:45am
It’s 45 minutes of nonstop, action-packed singing, drama, storytelling, and media that relate biblical principles to today’s real world. Kids must have parents who attend as well. Kids K-5th grade sit on the floor in front of the stage. Parents sit in chairs behind the kids area. Preschoolers are invited but must stay with their parents. Location is the LMC auditorium. “Forgotten God”: A Message Series
Perhaps we think calling the Holy Spirit “Forgotten God” may be an overstatement by Francis Chan in his book by this title. But maybe it’s an understatement. Some Christians show little awareness of the Spirit; others emphasize the Sprit at the expense of everything else in the Bible. Chan asks, “What if you grew up on a desert island with nothing but the Bible to read?” With nothing but scripture to guide you, how would your understanding of the Holy Spirit be different from what it is today? Beginning May 20 we begin a 4-week series on biblical understanding of the Holy Spirit in the life of Christ followers. We’ll be challenged to move from amnesia and neglect to new life through the power of the Spirit.

SERVICE OPPORTUNITY
Youth Sponsored Toy Drive for the Meredith Autism Program (MAP)
MAP is an early intervention program for children with autism that follows a psychological study performed by Dr. Ivan Lovass. The study proved that children with autism can make great strides given proper teaching techniques and education of parents. Katy Clary, an Asbury 412 (middle school) small group leader, is a student worker for the program.
Katy works in intensive one-on-one training with the children, including learning how to play with toys appropriately. However, many of the toys are from 1995, the year MAP was founded. They’ve seen a lot of love but don’t work as well as they once did.
Asbury youth would like to contribute to this amazing cause. Students and families can help by dropping off toys in room 305-306. Toys should be appropriate for ages 12-24 months. Contributions will be greatly appreciated by the children and staff who work with them. No electronic toys please.
Relay for Life
Join the Hangin’ on Faith Relay for Life team June 1-2 at Leesville High track and raise money for the American Cancer Society. Register at rtprelay.org. If you can’t join a team, consider purchasing a luminaire ($10, $25, $50) in honor or memory of someone affected by cancer. Questions? Contact Kathy Wood.
